Adjust temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Retrieve food from freezers and thaw it in refrigerators. Portion and plate food appropriately. Maintain food records. Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food. Communicate support needs during peak periods. Inform chefs of leftover ingredients for use in daily changing menus. Notify food and beverage service staff of special or out-of-stock menu items. Ensure ingredient quality. Prepare food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and cooking checklists. Prepare cold food. Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff, serving as a role model. Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to managers. Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional. Anticipate and respond to guest service needs; communicate clearly and professionally with others. Listen to fellow employees’ concerns and respond appropriately; ensure expected quality and standards are consistently upheld.
