We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated CNC Lathe Operator to join our Zollern Portugal team. Job Mission: Efficiently execute various machining processes, including conventional lathe and computer numerical control (CNC) lathe operations, machining of metal and plastic parts used for internal maintenance supporting the manufacturing process, as well as machining of mold components. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: * Efficiently manage available resource stocks (equipment, machines, consumables) to maximize productivity and minimize waste; * Perform machining of parts on conventional lathes and CNC lathes programmed using HEIDENHAIN; * Build/machine parts on milling machines (valued); * Apply product-specific procedures, methods, and work instructions, along with the ability to read technical drawings; * Ensure compliance with technical requirements defined in product specifications, procedures, and work instructions; * Perform first-level maintenance and preservation of equipment and tools within your department. Key Competencies: * Completed secondary education (12th grade) in industrial maintenance fields; technical/professional school training is preferred; * Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in manual and automated machining, preferably within the automotive or metallurgical industry; * Experience with milling machines, conventional lathes, and HEIDENHAIN-programmed CNC lathes (highly valued); * Knowledge of technical drawing interpretation; * Familiarity with CNC programming languages; * SAP software knowledge (valued).
