Job Summary: The Accounting Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations. Candidates must also be legally authorized to work in Portugal.*** The **Universal Kraft Group** has been actively developing renewable energy solutions for over 20 years. Our projects span wind and solar power, waste-to-energy, water treatment, and energy storage solutions—including green hydrogen and green ammonia. With offices in **Canada, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden**, we continue to grow consistently alongside our team. We are currently recruiting an **Accounting Technician**. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and expense reports. * Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. * Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights supporting business decision-making. * Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax legislation, and internal procedures. * Support preparation of tax returns, VAT filing, and other tax and legal obligations. * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. * Provide support during audits and collaborate with external auditors or regulatory authorities as required. * Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the continuous development of financial systems and controls. **REQUIREMENTS** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an international or dynamic environment. * Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and local tax legislation. * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., **Primavera**, **Sage**, or equivalent) and **Microsoft Excel**. * Fluency in English, both spoken and written. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Organized, proactive profile with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. **WE OFFER** * Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. * 25 vacation days \+ birthday leave. * Opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing renewable energy sector. * Multicultural and international work environment. * Health insurance and local discounts. * Professional development and career progression opportunities. * Collaborative, dynamic, and supportive work environment.
