***This is a fully on-site position requiring full-time work from our office in Porto. Candidates must also be legally authorized to work in Portugal.***
The **Universal Kraft Group** has been actively developing renewable energy solutions for over 20 years. Our projects span wind and solar power, waste-to-energy, water treatment, and energy storage solutions—including green hydrogen and green ammonia.
With offices in **Canada, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden**, we continue to grow consistently alongside our team. We are currently recruiting an **Accounting Technician**.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and expense reports.
* Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights supporting business decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax legislation, and internal procedures.
* Support preparation of tax returns, VAT filing, and other tax and legal obligations.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
* Provide support during audits and collaborate with external auditors or regulatory authorities as required.
* Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the continuous development of financial systems and controls.
**REQUIREMENTS**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an international or dynamic environment.
* Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and local tax legislation.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., **Primavera**, **Sage**, or equivalent) and **Microsoft Excel**.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Organized, proactive profile with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
