Context:
In the framework of a high\-profile infrastructure project in Portugal, SYSTRA is looking for a MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) lead.
Missions/Main Duties:
The MEP Lead will oversee the MEP design for transportation infrastructure buildings. He/She will be based in Porto, Portugal.
Leadership \& Coordination:
* Lead the MEP engineering team in the design and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for transportation infrastructure buildings.
* Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive design integration.
* Manage and mentor junior MEP engineers and provide technical guidance.
Design \& Development:* Develop comprehensive MEP designs that meet project requirements, including sustainability and energy efficiency standards.
* Review and approve MEP design plans, calculations, and specifications.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
Profile/Skills:
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:* Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP engineering, with significant experience in the design and construction of train stations or similar infrastructure projects.
* Proven track record of leading MEP teams and managing complex projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
* Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
* Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit) and project management tools.
* Proficiency in English required; fluency in Portuguese is a nice-to-have.
