We are looking for a **Data Visualization Engineer** to join the team. In this role, you will design and sustain a robust Power BI ecosystem that enables reliable, scalable, and secure data\-driven decision\-making across the organization. This includes developing and maintaining a well\-structured semantic data layer, governing the Power BI platform, and delivering high\-quality dashboards and reports. The role balances data modeling, BI platform governance, and report development, ensuring that business users have access to trusted data, consistent metrics, and intuitive visualizations. By establishing strong foundations and standards, this position empowers teams to effectively leverage self\-service BI while maintaining control, performance, and data integrity. If you like things simple, practical and with real ownership, you’ll fit right in. **What you’ll be doing** * Semantic Modeling \& Data Foundations + Design, develop, and maintain scalable semantic models (datasets, data marts) in Power BI + Implement best practices in data modeling (star schema, reusable measures, KPI definitions) + Ensure consistency and standardization across all reporting layers * Power BI Governance \& Platform Ownership + Define and manage Power BI workspace architecture (dev/test/prod separation, naming standards) + Govern access control, roles, and permissions, ensuring data security and compliance + Establish content lifecycle management (certification, promotion, versioning) + Monitor usage, adoption, and performance across the platform + Drive governance policies to enable controlled self\-service BI * Dashboard \& Report Development + Design and build interactive dashboards and reports aligned with business needs + Translate complex data into clear, actionable visual insights + Apply data visualization best practices (UX, storytelling, usability) + Optimize report performance and usability + Work closely with stakeholders to iterate and improve reporting solutions * Collaboration \& Leadership + Partner with data engineers to ensure high\-quality upstream data + Support and mentor analysts and report developers + Act as a subject matter expert for Power BI across the organization **What we’re looking for** * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
