You will play a pivotal role in building a reliable, secure and scalable data pipeline from machines on the shop floor to the cloud platform. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, implement and maintain applications running on industrial edge devices. * Implement secure and robust data acquisition from PLCs and sensors using industrial protocols (e.g., OPC UA). * Configure and manage connectivity (e.g., IIoT edge gateway onboarding and updates). * Build secure ingestion to cloud platform (assets, aspects, variables) and manage asset models and time series data. * Establish CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub) with automated tests and artifact versioning. * Contribute to documentation and customer enablement materials. support proof\-of\-concepts, deployments, and incident resolution. **Your Profile** * Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Automation Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * Hands‑on with industrial protocols (e.g., OPC UA client/server, S7, Modbus TCP, MQTT) and connecting to PLCs. * Experience with docker and containerized application development (e.g. Python, Java, C\#, or Node\-red). * Experience integrating edge applications with cloud services such as Azure, AWS or Siemens Insights Hub (or comparable platforms). * Knowledge of secure networking and OT/IT segmentation, PKI/certificates, TLS, and secrets management. * Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, automated testing (unit/integration), and observability practices. * Great communication skills, verbal \& written fluency in English, additional languages are an advantage. * Enthusiasm on learning and broadening your technical knowledge and strong willingness to improve your skills. * Availability to travel 10 to 15 days a year for the installation and testing of the developed solutions. **Your benefits** * Exciting tasks in a fast growing, future\-oriented industry player. * Competitive salary package, with extra days off, including your birthday, flexible working hours, and remote work options. * Health insurance for the whole family. * Well\-Being and Employee Assistance Program. * Active protocols with external partners and other caring perks (ex: fresh fruit, bread and yogurt). * A pleasant and collaborative working atmosphere. * Do you have the capacity to lead some of our development projects?
