Job Summary: IskayPet Group is seeking a Certified Accountant to manage and supervise the accounting of its companies in Portugal, ensuring compliance with obligations and the quality of financial information. Currently present in Spain and Portugal, with over 300 workplaces and 4,000 employees, we strive to become a benchmark in animal welfare, guided by our mission: **«To care for animals and make life better».** We are currently looking for a **CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANT** for the **FINANCE** department in the PORTO area. **What competencies do we expect from this person?** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. * Certified Accountant registered with the OCC (mandatory requirement). * Knowledge or training in Financial Auditing and/or a Master’s degree in Taxation is valued. * Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar roles. * Analytical ability to interpret legislation and issue accounting opinions. * Analytical ability to interpret legislation and define the applicable tax framework for transactions. * Autonomy in managing responsibilities. * High organizational capacity and deadline-oriented mindset. * Ability to coordinate work with external auditors and consultants. * Proactivity, critical thinking, and focus on continuous improvement. * Spanish language proficiency; **Main responsibilities include:** * Managing and supervising the accounting of the Group’s companies in Portugal. * Ensuring compliance with tax, accounting, and legal obligations. * Coordinating monthly and annual closings, ensuring accuracy of financial information. * Preparing and reviewing financial statements, annual accounts, and tax dossiers. * Ensuring compliance with Portuguese legislation and Group policies. * Supporting various business areas on accounting and tax matters. * Identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, and improvement. * Participating in cross-functional projects, contributing to the evolution and efficiency of the finance function.
