We are seeking a **versatile Carpenter / Art Handler**, responsible for constructing transport crates, supports, and other technical elements required for the handling, packaging, transportation, storage, and installation of works of art. This role demands exceptional precision, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility, given the valuable and sensitive nature of the artworks you will handle. **Key Responsibilities** * Construction of wooden transport crates, structures, and supports for artworks; * Packaging, handling, transportation, and installation of artworks using appropriate techniques; * Ensuring the safety and integrity of artworks throughout all stages of the process; * Storing and organizing artworks in warehouses and exhibition spaces; * Supporting the setup and dismantling of exhibitions; * Adhering to preventive conservation standards and best practices for artwork handling; * Following safety protocols and correctly using personal protective equipment (PPE); * Collaborating with the team on logistical and operational tasks. **Requirements** * Completed secondary education (minimum); * **Proven experience in carpentry/cabinetmaking**, particularly in the **construction of transport crates and structures for artworks**; * Prior experience in art handling, art logistics, museums, or galleries (preferred); * Knowledge of artwork packaging, handling, and installation techniques; * Familiarity with preventive conservation and safety principles applied to cultural heritage; * English – conversational level; * Valid driver’s license (Category B) and personal vehicle; * **A heavy goods vehicle (HGV) license will be considered an asset**; * Availability for occasional national and international travel. **What We Offer** * **Annual gross salary:** (adjustable according to experience); * Shared health insurance; * Partnerships and other incentives; * Indefinite-term contract; * A stable, collaborative, and continuously improving work environment; * Opportunity to assume a cross-functional role with direct impact on operations.
