This will significantly increase your chances of success #### **About the Opportunity** We are looking for an experienced Kotlin Developer to join a strategic software\-modernization project in the insurance sector. You will contribute to the migration of desktop\-oriented insurance software towards a modern microservices architecture. The position combines Kotlin and Java development, API integration, solution design, code quality and production troubleshooting within an international technical environment. #### **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop and maintain software solutions using Kotlin and Java. * Contribute to the migration of existing insurance applications to a microservices\-based architecture. * Create, enhance and maintain system functionalities. * Design, build and consume RESTful APIs. * Participate in code reviews and approve Pull Requests. * Design scalable solutions based on microservices. * Apply SOLID principles, clean architecture and software\-development best practices. * Ensure code quality, maintainability, reliability and performance. * Diagnose technical issues and debug production problems. * Investigate and resolve application defects. * Create and maintain technical documentation for services and system components. * Collaborate with developers, architects and other project stakeholders. #### **Mandatory Requirements** * Between 5 and 8 years of professional software\-development experience. * Strong professional experience with Kotlin, particularly in desktop\-oriented development. * Solid Java development experience. * Experience designing or developing microservices\-based solutions. * Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. * Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean architecture. * Experience with code reviews and Pull Request approval processes. * Strong debugging, troubleshooting and defect\-resolution capabilities. * Ability to create clear technical documentation. * English proficiency at B2 level or higher. * Availability to work from the Moscavide office twice per week. * Current residence in Portugal or availability to work under the required hybrid arrangement. #### **Nice to Have** * Experience with desktop\-oriented C\+\+ development. * Knowledge of Angular 8 or later. * Experience with Vert.x. * Experience with Microsoft Azure. * Previous experience in insurance software or regulated environments. * Experience participating in legacy\-system modernization or migration projects. #### **The Ideal Profile** The ideal candidate is a Kotlin Developer with a strong desktop\-development background and solid Java expertise. You are comfortable working with existing software while helping transform it into a modern, service\-oriented architecture.
