Translate business needs into actionable data models and analyses **Job Title: Data Engineer** **Location: Porto, Portugal** **Work Regime: Full\-time \& Hybrid (3x office days)** **Responsibilities and Tasks:** * Actively participate in the definition, design, and implementation of a modern data platform, including ingestion, processing, storage, modeling, and analytical consumption; * Promote a data culture within the organization, ensuring compliance with defined data management and governance processes; * Develop and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT), ensuring reliable integration of data from core systems and satellite applications; * Model data in data warehouses, data lakes, and analytical layers, ensuring quality, consistency, and performance; * Ensure data quality, integrity, and traceability by identifying anomalies and proposing structural improvements; * Translate business needs into data models, metrics, and actionable analyses; * Develop exploratory analyses, reports, and dashboards to support activity monitoring and decision\-making; * Collaborate closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external partners, acting as a bridge between technical and functional areas; * Document data models, flows, and associated business rules to promote clarity and reusability. ### **Requirements** **Mandatory Requirements:** * Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields; * Experience in data engineering and data analysis, with hands\-on technical work; * Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL Server, and data modeling; * Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration; * Experience with Business Intelligence tools, preferably Power BI (data modeling, DAX, and reporting best practices); * Ability to understand business processes and translate business questions into analyses and metrics; * Strong communication skills, both with technical and non\-technical stakeholders; * Critical thinking, autonomy, and sense of responsibility; **Complementary Requirements:** * Experience in data projects on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS); * Experience in financial or regulated environments; * Knowledge of programming languages that support analytics (e.g., Python). ### **Benefits** **Important**: * Our company does not sponsor work visas or work permits.
