




Job Summary: We are seeking a versatile Carpenter – Art Handler responsible for constructing crates and supports for artworks, ensuring their safety and integrity at every stage. We are looking for a versatile Carpenter – Art Handler responsible for constructing transport crates, supports, and other technical components required for handling, packing, transporting, storing, and installing artworks. This role requires high precision, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility, given the valuable and sensitive nature of the artworks you will be working with. Main Responsibilities: - Construct wooden transport crates, structures, and supports for artworks; - Pack, handle, transport, and install artworks using appropriate techniques; - Ensure the safety and integrity of pieces throughout all stages of the process; - Store and organize artworks in warehouses and exhibition spaces; - Support exhibition setups and dismantling; - Comply with preventive conservation standards and best practices for handling; - Follow safety protocols and correctly use PPE; - Collaborate with the team on logistical and operational tasks. Requirements: - Completed secondary education (minimum); - Proven experience in carpentry/cabinetmaking, especially in constructing crates and transport structures for artworks; - Prior experience in art handling, art logistics, museums, or galleries (preferred); - Knowledge of packing, handling, and installation techniques for artworks; - Familiarity with preventive conservation and safety principles applied to cultural assets; - English – conversational level; - Valid driver’s license (Category B) and personal vehicle; - Heavy vehicle driving license considered an asset; - Availability for occasional national and international travel.
