Operation: The D-Link DVA-G3170i ADSL2+ VoIP router includes an Internet telephony management system (VoIP). Additionally, computers can access broadband Internet via ADSL. The ADSL2+ VoIP router can serve as the primary gateway and call manager at the core of a small office network to simplify Internet telephony service management. Internet Telephone: The D-Link DVA-G3170i supports connection of analog terminals, thereby providing analog telephone service over the Internet (VoIP). To do so, simply connect any analog telephone with an RJ11 connector (RITA plug) that operates using dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF), not pulse dialing. Internet Gateway and Firewall: Use the D-Link DVA-G3170i as a broadband gateway and firewall for a private network. ADSL service users can connect directly to the Internet using this router.
