Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake or Databricks)

Job Summary: We are seeking a Data Engineer with experience in Python software engineering, Spark/PySpark, and data platform migrations to Snowflake or Databricks, focused on building and orchestrating high-performance platforms. What We Are Looking For? * Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer; * Strong software engineering skills with Python in large-scale, high-performance production environments; * Practical experience with Spark/PySpark and other big data frameworks (e.g., Apache Beam); * Proven experience in large-scale data platform migrations from Cloudera (CDH/HDP) to Snowflake or Databricks, including restructuring and refactoring legacy ETL processes using native cloud capabilities (e.g., Snowpipe, Auto\-ingestion, Delta Live Tables); * In-depth knowledge of designing and orchestrating high-performance data platforms from scratch, including complex integrations such as Reverse ETL, CDC, and API-based ingestion—particularly with Snowflake (Snowpipe Streaming, Tasks, Streams) or Databricks (Auto Loader, Delta Sharing, Unity Catalog); * Solid understanding of distributed systems and modern data architectures; * Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc); * Fluency in English; * Eligibility to work in Portugal (Portuguese citizen or valid work authorization).
