Teamwork and problem solving Company: AES Plastics Lda | Location: Leiria, Portugal We are recruiting an Injection Technician to join our team at a plastics injection company. The professional’s main responsibilities include the following: * Set up molds on injection machines, including all electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic connections; * Develop injection processes for various molds / raw materials / injection machines; * Program the machine robot and adjust robot grippers to different molds; * Flexibility to support the operator team during production (including across other shifts); * Daily interaction with the supervisor; * Coordinate production (initially this function will be performed jointly with management/team); * Ensure production is completed by deadline dates; * Availability during other shifts if assistance is required or if issues arise with injection machines; * Responsible for product palletization and labeling (task may be delegated); * Define robot programs for injection machines; * Perform light and periodic cleaning of molds in production; * Responsible for raw material management (ensure ovens and octabins always have sufficient material for production); * Perform routine basic maintenance on injection machines (grease, oil, cleaning, etc.); * Responsible for verifying that water, air, and material feeding systems operate under proper conditions; * Responsible for maintaining the production area in clean and organized condition, including production, tools, molds, accessories, etc. (this task may be delegated); * Responsible for organizing production pallets and raw materials (for plastics) using a forklift (in vans, trucks, containers, shelving); * Responsible for communicating to management when maintenance, repairs, or tool purchases necessary for production are required. Competencies: * Ability to troubleshoot/suggest solutions for various injection process problems; * Knowledge of robot programming; * Warehouse management and production shipment handling; * User-level computer skills; * Familiarity with SQ documentation relevant to the role.
