Sony RM-VPR1 Remote Control with Multi-Terminal Cable

Sony RM-VPR1 Remote Control Functions as a remote control for compatible Sony digital and video cameras The cable with mini-USB connector is slightly bent and does not work with my Sony A7 as a shutter release, but it does work to turn the camera on and off. It might be possible to repair this cable. The remote control is in perfect condition, as is the other cable, so it would be ideal as a spare replacement for someone who has the same shutter release.
