Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer / Project Coordinator to lead the project team and develop lifting and material handling equipment at TecPonte. Key Highlights: 1. A strategic role with direct impact on the company's development Senior Design Engineer / Project Coordinator (M/F/D) Maceira, Leiria \- On-site Work TecPonte \- Technology in Lifting is a Portuguese company specialized in the development, manufacturing, and technical support of lifting and material handling equipment, including overhead cranes, gantry cranes, tower cranes, special-purpose equipment, and customized industrial solutions. Each project is developed individually to meet each client’s specific needs. As part of its growth strategy, TecPonte aims to strengthen its team by integrating a Senior Design Engineer who will assume coordination of the Project Department and play a key technical role in developing the company’s equipment and solutions. **Main Responsibilities:** \- Coordinate and supervise the project team (3–4 members); \- Develop, size, and validate lifting and material handling equipment projects; \- Design technical solutions for overhead cranes, gantry cranes, tower cranes, special-purpose equipment, and custom projects; \- Ensure technical compliance of projects with applicable standards and requirements; \- Oversee the full project lifecycle—from design through production and installation; \- Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Technical Support departments; \- Manage priorities, resources, and execution deadlines; \- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in engineering and development processes; \- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams whenever required. **Required Profile:** \- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical field; \- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in similar roles; \- Proven experience in mechanical design and industrial equipment development; \- Experience in coordinating or leading technical teams; \- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (mandatory); \- Knowledge of AutoCAD (an advantage); \- Understanding of mechanics of materials, steel structures, and manufacturing processes; \- Ability to interpret and prepare technical documentation; \- Willingness to travel occasionally; \- Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy, and organization; \- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** \- Experience in cargo handling, overhead cranes, tower cranes, or industrial equipment; \- Familiarity with applicable standards for lifting equipment; \- Experience in managing industrial projects; \- Knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement; \- Proficiency in English. **What We Offer:** \- Integration into a solid and growing company; \- Participation in industrial projects of high technical complexity; \- A strategic role with direct impact on the company's development; \- Opportunity to lead and develop a specialized technical team; \- Competitive remuneration commensurate with demonstrated experience (no fixed final amount); \- Prospects for professional growth and development.
