As Perishables Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the Butchery, Fishmongery, Fruits & Vegetables, and OPLS departments, ensuring excellence in managing critical business variables (sales, stock, shrinkage, HACCP, and customer experience), directly contributing to the store’s success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Ambassador of fresh product quality, ensuring every item reaches the customer at peak freshness, flavor, and food safety. Manage and coordinate teams across different departments, ensuring efficiency, results orientation, and passion for their work. Lead business performance indicators (sales, stock, pricing, shrinkage), anticipate needs, and align offerings with the profile of professional customers. Inspire and develop people, building specialized and motivated teams. Comply with strict hygiene, food safety (HACCP), and occupational health standards. Promote customer relationships by tailoring solutions to support their business success. CANDIDATE PROFILE Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree. Solid experience in similar roles, ideally within food distribution or specialized retail focusing on fresh products. Leadership capability with a results-driven mindset, coupled with commitment to growing and valuing team members. Strong commercial orientation and strategic vision for the business. Excellent communication, persuasion, and problem-solving skills. Good knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS), HACCP, stock management, and perishable goods handling. Availability for varied working hours and rotating days off.
