Working for a large and solid Portuguese Economic Group Somafel is a company within the Teixeira Duarte Group, specializing in the construction of conventional railway tracks and overhead catenary systems, as well as maintenance, renewal, and electrification of existing lines. It also actively participates in special engineering projects, notably crane rail systems and concrete track beds. We are looking for a Senior Occupational Safety Technician (m/f). Job Description: * Monitor safety conditions during work execution; * Identify, assess, and prevent occupational risks; * Ensure compliance with safety procedures applicable to the railway sector; * Conduct training and information sessions for work teams; * Prepare records, reports, and safety documentation; * Coordinate with site managers, operational teams, and other involved entities on all matters related to occupational health and safety. Technical Profile * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering / Materials Engineering / Civil Engineering, up to 2 years of experience; * Valid professional certification as an Occupational Safety Technician, in accordance with Law No. 42/2012, dated August 28; * Railway Safety Training for Technicians – IET77 (preferred); * SF1-level Railway Safety Qualification, in compliance with Instruction GR.IT.003; * Proven experience in occupational safety management on contracts of similar nature; * Availability to work night shifts and weekends; * Valid driver's license; * Willingness to travel (mandatory requirement).
