### **Job description**
Daily rate: 295
* Hybrid (4 days per week on site)

We are looking for a Kubernetes Database Engineer to design, deploy, and operate database services running on Kubernetes\-based platforms. The role sits at the intersection of database administration, infrastructure automation, and cloud\-native engineering, with direct ownership over the database layer across multiple services and technologies. The team operates on a shift model (10h/day, 5 days/week) with on\-call responsibility approximately one week per month.

### **Goals and deliverables**
* Deploy, manage, and optimize stateful database workloads on Kubernetes, with a primary focus on PostgreSQL
* Implement persistent storage solutions, backup and restore pipelines, data replication, and HA/DR strategies
* Develop automation for provisioning, upgrades, and scaling using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent)
* Monitor and troubleshoot database and cluster performance
* Enforce security standards: RBAC, encryption, secrets management, and network policies
* Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Development teams to design and evolve database\-as\-a\-service patterns
* Contribute to international projects and influence current and future technology choices
### **Requirements**
* Proven hands\-on experience running and managing databases on Kubernetes
* Strong expertise in PostgreSQL in production environments
* Experience with HA/DR architecture and persistent storage in Kubernetes
* Practical background in CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
* Familiarity with Kubernetes security practices: RBAC, secrets management, network policies, encryption
* Experience working in shift\-based or on\-call operational models
* Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively at both technical and business levels
