Júlia Ramalho, granddaughter of the renowned ceramist Rosa Ramalho, was born on May 3, 1946, in São Martinho de Galegos, Braga. She trained under her grandmother and inherited her passion and artistic skill. Her works feature strong metaphorical and hyperbolic elements; she creates scenes depicting rural life, its activities and professions, facets of daily existence—as well as religious and mythological figures.
