Bosch is recruiting a Hardware Development Engineer \- Radar to join the Bosch Car Multimedia team in Braga, with a hybrid work model. Bosch Car Multimedia belongs to the Automotive Electronics division and develops high-quality technology to transform mobility. In Braga, the team works on developing sensors for the next generation of assisted and automated driving. The role involves the design, analysis, and validation of robust, reliable, and series-production-ready electronic control units, analog and digital circuits, power supplies, and electronic architectures for automotive systems. **Responsibilities:** Lead the design, analysis, and validation of robust and reliable electronic control units; Develop switched-mode power supplies (SMPS); Develop high-precision analog front-ends for sensor interfaces; Work on high-speed digital circuits for MCU and SoC architectures; Participate in the entire design process, from schematic capture to PCB layout support; Ensure compliance with strict signal integrity and power integrity rules; Optimize existing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability; Identify opportunities for technological improvement; Contribute to solving complex mixed-signal and system-level challenges; Balance performance, efficiency, cost, and reliability throughout product development; Support the development of robust and secure automotive electronic systems; Execute projects according to Bosch’s development and lifecycle management processes; Support projects from concept phase through industrialization and series production support. **Requirements:** Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; More than 4 years of experience in electronic hardware design, including analog and mixed-signal circuits; Practical experience with electronic laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies; Experience in hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging; Experience in selecting and integrating MCUs or SoCs; Experience designing peripheral interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, and QSPI; Understanding of signal integrity principles for digital interfaces; Understanding of power integrity principles; Strong knowledge of SMPS design, sensor front-ends, high-speed digital circuits, PCB design rules, and system-level electronic architecture; Ability to apply simulation, calculation, and empirical testing to support design decisions; Good command of English, both written and spoken; Structured, practical, and data-driven problem-solving approach; Rigorous technical documentation, ensuring clarity and traceability; Ability to manage responsibilities and deliver high-quality results within project timelines. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in embedded firmware development; Experience with Python scripting; Knowledge of automotive functional safety; Knowledge of automotive system security concepts; Experience with sensors, radar, or assisted driving systems; Interest in electronics applied to mobility and road safety. **Profile:** Technical curiosity and commitment to continuous learning; Collaborative mindset and orientation toward shared goals; Openness to feedback; Resilience and willingness to challenge the status quo; Autonomy and motivation to deepen expertise in electronics; Commitment to quality, innovation, and tangible impact on the final product. **Benefits:** Hybrid work model; Flexible working conditions; Interaction with colleagues from different countries; Health insurance; On-site medical office, including psychology and general practice; On-site social services office; Opportunities for technical training, language courses, and certifications; Career progression and continuous professional development; Access to discounts on Bosch partnerships and products; Sports- and health-related activities; Good access to public transportation; Free transportation from Porto; Flexible benefits platform; Free parking; Cafeteria. **Diversity and Inclusion:** Bosch values diversity and equal opportunity, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative workplace.
