Nesting Boxes for Blue Tits

Description

Rustic nesting boxes made from thick pine wood for enhanced outdoor durability. Designed for blue tits. Install them in your vegetable garden, plot, or backyard to support biological control against pine processionary caterpillars, if present. Very easy for blue tits—and also for great tits—to occupy as early as March. No need for high mounting: chest height of an adult is sufficient. This simplifies cleaning and eliminates the need for ladders. It is even therapeutic to observe the hundreds of comings and goings of the breeding pair once chicks are present—an astonishing frenzy of feeding activity. An excellent pastime to gently divert children away from technology and foster naturalist intelligence (one of the nine intelligences). These species occur throughout the country, including urban areas—provided there is a nearby garden, plot, backyard, etc. Also available in an open model suitable for robins and pied flycatchers. €10 each. Not shipped by mail. Delivery only possible at convenient locations.
