About the Role We are seeking a Database Administrator DB2 LUW (Linux) to analyze, optimize, and support medium-to-large-scale DB2 instances on Linux in high-performance environments. The role includes administration, troubleshooting, integration work, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the company’s core data remains reliable, fast, scalable, and responsive. Requirements Completed technical education in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in administration and troubleshooting of IBM DB2 LUW database management systems. Strong experience in high-performance environments. Excellent knowledge of Linux administration (SLES, CentOS). Experience using VMware virtualization. Experience integrating DB2 LUW with Siebel or Cognos. Proficiency in optimizing SQL statements/procedures. Fluency in English and excellent communication skills. Availability for a hybrid work model, with one day per week onsite at the office in Venda do Pinheiro or Lisbon/Porto, depending on location. Key Responsibilities Analyze and optimize medium-to-large-scale DB2 instances on Linux. Maintain and improve core datasets used in daily business operations. Adapt to existing frameworks and contribute to defining future solutions. Implement reliable, fast, scalable, and responsive solutions.
