The Universal Kraft group has been actively developing renewable energy solutions for over 20 years. Our projects span from wind and solar to waste\-to\-energy, water treatment, and energy storage solutions, including green Hydrogen and green Ammonia. With offices in Canada, Portugal, Spain and Sweden, we are continuously expanding, along with our team. Currently, we are recruiting for an **Accountant**. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and expense reports * Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements * Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and provide insights to support business decision\-making * Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal procedures * Support the preparation of tax returns, VAT filings, and statutory reporting * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions * Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors or regulatory bodies as needed * Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the ongoing development of financial systems and controls **REQUIREMENTS:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an international or fast\-paced environment * Registration with the Ordem dos Contabilistas Certificados (OCC) is a plus * Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and local tax legislation * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Primavera, Sage, or equivalent) and MS Excel * Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) * Residence in the Porto area or available for daily commute * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail * Organised, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively **WE OFFER:** * Competitive salary and benefits package based on experience * 25 days holiday \+ birthday off * Opportunity to contribute to the fast\-growing renewable energy sector * Multicultural and international work environment * Health insurance and local discounts * Professional development and career growth opportunities * Supportive and collaborative team culture Job Types: Full\-time, Contract, Permanent
