




Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior Civil or Mechanical Engineer to join the railway infrastructure maintenance management team, participating in strategic sustainable mobility projects and contributing to railway solutions. Opportunity to advance in complex and multidisciplinary technological fields Metro do Porto intends to strengthen its Infrastructure Directorate by hiring a Junior Civil or Mechanical Engineer (up to two years of experience) to join the infrastructure maintenance management team for its network, specifically in the railway track specialty. This role offers the opportunity to participate in strategic sustainable mobility projects, contributing to the development and maintenance of highly reliable, safe, and technologically innovative railway solutions. **Main Responsibilities** * This professional will support the team in planning and monitoring maintenance activities in the railway track area. * Planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, as well as monitoring railway track rehabilitation projects. * Monitoring various asset management activities, including: o Assessment of the condition of the substructure and railway track. o Tracking of maintenance activities. o Analysis of service life of various components and scheduling and preparation of corrective or renewal interventions. **Area of Activity** * Railway transportation systems. **Academic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: o Civil Engineering o Mechanical Engineering o Or equivalent field **Technical and Behavioral Competencies** * Proficiency in English (minimum B2). * Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and AutoCAD. * Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) is considered an advantage. * Genuine interest and passion for the railway sector. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Organization, priority management, and sense of responsibility. * Autonomy, initiative, and results orientation. * Motivation to advance in complex and multidisciplinary technological fields. **Also Valued** * Education or experience in transportation infrastructure, preferably railway. **Offered:** * Integration into a leading company in the sustainable mobility sector. * Participation in innovative and technologically challenging projects with regional strategic impact. * Competitive salary commensurate with experience and demonstrated qualifications. * Social benefits currently in effect at the company.
