Sony RM-VPR1 Remote Control Functions as a remote control for compatible Sony digital cameras and camcorders The mini-USB cable is slightly bent and does not work with my Sony A7 as a shutter release, but it does function to power the camera on and off. The cable may be repairable. The remote control itself is in perfect condition, as is the other cable; therefore, it would serve perfectly as a backup replacement for someone using the same shutter release.
