This is how we enable sustainable mobility and help prevent accidents caused by human error.*** **JOB SCOPE:** * Ensure rigorous execution of physical, chemical, environmental, and electrical tests so that cables comply with all applicable customer and/or other specified standards and requirements; * Ensure each sample is properly identified to maintain traceability from production through to the final report; * Critically analyze mechanical, electrical, thermal, dimensional, and other test results requested per customer and/or regulatory requirements to verify compliance with technical specifications prior to issuing certificates; * Verify adherence to the calibration schedule for all equipment to ensure result traceability; * Prepare the entire laboratory for certification under NP EN ISO/IEC 17025; * Support internal audits to verify whether the laboratory maintains the technical competence required by NP EN ISO/IEC 17025; * Identify test deviations or equipment failures and implement immediate corrective actions to prevent release of non-conforming cable batches; * Ensure use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); * Receive and prepare samples, ensuring correct identification and retention for possible re\-analysis; * Prepare detailed test reports including measurement uncertainties, environmental conditions, and methodologies employed; * Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (preferred). **REQUIREMENTS:** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or related fields (preferred); * Knowledge of insulating materials and experience with accreditation audits conducted by IPAC (Portugal) or equivalent bodies (preferred); * Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for automated test data collection, minimizing human errors in production batch validation (preferred); * Strong knowledge of cable manufacturing (preferred); * Planning, organizational, and management skills; ability to work under pressure; * Teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership skills. **YOUR BENEFITS:** * Career progression in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) * Night shift hours compensated with a 50% premium (10:00 PM to 7:00 AM\) * Rotating shift schedule compensated with a 10% premium as per CLA * Overtime compensation according to CLA percentages * Meal allowance * Health insurance * Occupational and curative medicine * Birthday leave (in accordance with applicable internal policies) * Initial and continuous onboarding training Privacy Notice \- Active Candidates: https://www.versigent.com/privacy\-statement Versigent is an equal employment opportunity employer.
