**Job Description:**Perform duties inherent to the Operational Assistant career and category, as stipulated in the annexed staffing plan referred to in Article 88, paragraph 2 of the Public Function Statute (LTFP), corresponding to Complexity Level 1, including the following functions and competencies: Preventive forestry, specifically fuel management in forests, using manual, motorized, mechanical, or controlled-burning techniques, among others; Maintenance and protection of forest stands within the scope of forest management and control of harmful biotic agents; General forestry activities; Installation, maintenance, and improvement of forest defense infrastructure and rural management support infrastructure; Raising public awareness regarding conduct norms related to forest and environmental protection, particularly concerning fire use, forest management, and phytosanitary practices; surveillance, initial intervention, and support in combating rural fires, assistance in mop-up operations, and active post-mop-up surveillance within the framework of civil protection; acting as a civil protection agent under the Basic Law on Civil Protection, approved by Law No. 27/2006 of 3 July, as currently in force, carrying out civil protection intervention missions defined in specific operational directives issued by the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC); emergency stabilization actions aimed at minimizing damage resulting from erosion processes, clearing road networks and watercourses to reduce soil loss impact, and promoting recovery of productive potential; performing any other duties assigned by law or higher-level order.
