We are currently recruiting for ENGIE Renováveis, S.A., a **Technical Project Development Engineer for Renewable Energy Projects**, to join our Business Development team. **Purpose of the Role** As a ***Technical Project Engineer – Development***, you will play an essential role in accelerating ENGIE’s growth in the renewable energy sector in Portugal, supporting the development of photovoltaic solar, onshore wind, and battery energy storage projects—from initial site assessment through to construction and commissioning. You will serve as a technical reference throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring each project is developed with a focus on safety, performance, constructability, technical integrity, and long-term value creation. **Key Responsibilities** * Support the technical development of renewable projects—from land analysis and feasibility studies through design, procurement, construction, and handover to operations. * Evaluate project opportunities, technical risks, and grid connection solutions to support well-founded development and investment decisions. * Prepare or review project designs, technical specifications, tender documentation, and key engineering deliverables. * Provide technical inputs for financial models, including CAPEX, OPEX, performance, and losses. * Coordinate technical interfaces with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, grid operators, and engineering partners. * Ensure projects comply with ENGIE’s QHSE standards, ethical principles, and global best practices. **Your Impact** In this role, you will contribute to transforming renewable opportunities into secure, reliable, and competitive projects—directly advancing ENGIE’s ambition to lead the energy transition and build a more sustainable future. **Profile** * **Technical Skills and Requirements** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in renewable energy projects, particularly photovoltaic solar, wind, and/or BESS. * Solid technical knowledge of electrical engineering applied to renewable generation assets. * Experience in basic and detailed design, grid studies, grid connection, and electrical infrastructure. * Ability to assess technical and economic impacts of projects—including CAPEX, OPEX, performance, and losses. * Experience in project management or technical coordination within multidisciplinary contexts. * Knowledge of grid code requirements, electrical equipment, SCADA, and IT/OT architecture is an advantage. * Experience with tools such as PVsyst and solar performance studies is an advantage. * Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills—capable of delivering technical information clearly and structurally. * Fluency in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written. * **Behavioral Competencies** * Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and decision-making ability. * Analytical thinking and problem-solving orientation. * Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with internal teams and external partners. * Negotiation and clear communication skills—even on complex technical topics. * Proactivity, flexibility, and continuous improvement mindset. * Commitment to safety, ethics, quality, and sustainability. **What We Offer** * Integration into a multinational company recognized as a leader in the energy sector. * Access to national and international training and development programs. * Additional vacation days and a birthday day off. * Health insurance for the employee and immediate family members. * Pension plan. * Flexible benefits plan. * Health and wellness programs and psychological support services. * Diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. * Participation in volunteer programs. * Involvement in diverse projects with experienced and dynamic teams. * A work environment where safety is a priority and trust and collaboration form the foundation of relationships. **At ENGIE, every talent has a role to play in accelerating the energy transition.
