What we offer * Mobile working and flexible working time * Collaborative, diverse company culture and superior team spirit * Flat hierarchies and great feedback culture * Development opportunities \& career perspective * International business \& cross\-site collaboration * Modern, dog\-friendly offices with nice amenities * Company\-paid health insurance, public transportation, lunch vouchers and further benefits What you'll do * Collaborate closely within an interdisciplinary, product\-focused team alongside developers, operations specialists, and product owners * Take ownership of ensuring and continuously improving product quality through a balanced mix of automated and manual testing practices * Advance test automation with a strong focus on increasing both quality and coverage * Continuously improve test processes, tools, and the overall test automation strategy What you'll need * A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a comparable field – career changers with a strong passion for IT are also welcome * 3\+ years of professional experience in a similar role * A strong drive to identify and analyze defects across development, design, and logic * Solid experience in both automated and manual testing of backend applications, covering functional and non\-functional requirements * A clear commitment to and passion for test automation * Confidence in reading and analyzing source code and log files, along with the ability to conduct in\-depth technical research * Hands\-on experience with at least three of the following technologies and tools: + API testing using frameworks such as ReadyAPI + Basic software development in Python + Database systems (SQL) and messaging/queuing systems (e.g. Kafka) + CI/CD integration with Jenkins in combination with Docker and Git + Performance and load testing using JMeter * A collaborative mindset, paired with the confidence to share ideas, perspectives, and insights * A proactive attitude and strong intrinsic motivation to drive impact for your product, your team, and your own development * Fluency in English; German is a plus What you can expect At Retarus, you will work on impactful and dynamic projects, with real opportunities to make a difference.
