Analytics Mid\-Level Lisbon, Braga, Viana do Castelo An **Analytics Engineer**, integrated into the Analytics team, will be responsible for transforming business requirements into solutions that drive strategic decisions and influence the Data Journey of their clients. **Main Responsibilities** -------------------------------- The primary mission of an **Analytics Engineer** is to translate business requirements into relevant metrics and indicators, developing and maintaining Business Intelligence systems that provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making. * Translate business rules into functional and technical requirements in a clear and systematic way; * Identify the correct metrics and KPIs that meet the needs of business areas; * Identify relevant data sources to produce accurate calculations for all required metrics/KPIs; * Design and build data warehouse data models according to standard practices; * Design and develop high-performance and scalable ETL processes, considering all relevant stages (staging, cleansing, etc.); * Develop reports and dashboards based on business requirements; * Conduct audits to ensure data quality across all Data Warehouse and Reporting infrastructures, as well as data security. #### **Stacks:** Microsoft, Tableau, Pentaho **Requirements** -------------- ### **Education** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems Management, Management Informatics, or Engineering. ### **Data Modeling** At least 2 years of experience in designing and implementing normalized and denormalized relational data models. ### **Business Intelligence Tools** Proficiency in Tableau, Pentaho, and Microsoft Power BI for creating interactive reports and dashboards. ### **ETL Processes and SQL** Competence in developing and maintaining efficient and scalable ETL processes, ensuring data integrity, along with advanced experience in SQL for complex queries and analysis. ### **Database Administration** Advanced knowledge in database management, including MS SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, with a focus on performance optimization. ### **Communication and Collaboration** Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multidisciplinary teams, facilitating the translation of business requirements into technical solutions. #### **Bonus Points:** * Cloud knowledge in Azure; * Shell scripting skills; * Programming knowledge in Java or Python; * Familiarity with tools such as Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, JIRA, or equivalent.
