REQUIRED PROFILE:
Secondary education (12th grade) or higher, or Professional Training; - 2 to 4 years’ experience in similar roles; - HACCP certification (preferred); - Availability for split/extended shifts and rotating days off; - Experience in bar and table service; - High level of responsibility, initiative, and dynamism; - Languages: fluent English is mandatory; other languages are desirable; knowledge of service and wines, and passion for service.
This position is for peak season reinforcement.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves meals and beverages to customers at tables and at the bar. Responsible for a designated set of tables. Prepares dining rooms and sets tables for various meals; greets and serves customers, presents them with the menu or daily specials list and beverage list, explains various dishes and beverages, and records orders to be transmitted to respective departments; serves selected items directly to customers; receives customer feedback, suggestions, and complaints, seeking prompt and appropriate solutions when justified. Prepares or arranges issuance of bills, collects payments. Manages storage and preservation of beverages intended for daily departmental consumption; maintains sideboards and ensures they are stocked with necessary utensils. At the end of meals, tidies the dining room, work utensils, transports and stores food and beverages displayed for sale or service. Assists in inventory control tasks and periodic inventory execution. Checks daily cellar stock levels and ensures adequate replenishment. During meals, presents the beverage list to customers and recommends appropriate wines for different menu dishes; serves or ensures correct service of ordered wines and beverages.
