Description

Job Summary: Design, develop, and validate PCBs for UAV systems, focusing on power electronics, navigation, sensors, and radio communications in demanding environments. Key Highlights: 1. Join a multidisciplinary and innovative team 2. Opportunity for professional development and growth 3. Relaxed environment fostering continuous learning We are seeking a PCB Development Engineer to join our electronics team. You will be responsible for schematic design and PCB layout for UAV systems—from power electronics and battery management to navigation modules, sensors, and radio communications. Work takes place in a context where classic UAV challenges—such as electromagnetic interference on sensitive sensors, stringent weight and volume constraints, vibration, and harsh operating environments—are central considerations in every design decision. ##### **Key Responsibilities** * Design electrical circuits and produce complete, well-documented schematics; * Select electronic components, evaluating electrical performance, availability, lifecycle, and supply chain constraints; * Perform full multilayer PCB layout: stackup definition, floorplanning, critical signal routing, and final manufacturing verification; * Participate in formal schematic and layout reviews with the electronics team, and define board-to-board connectors and interface connectors for cabling; * Prepare and validate manufacturing and assembly data: Gerbers/ODB++, pick-and-place files, fabrication drawings, assembly notes, and panelization; * Perform prototype bring-up, validation, and failure analysis. ##### **Required Profile** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; * Minimum 3 years’ experience in PCB design, covering both schematic capture and layout, with a portfolio of production-ready boards; * Proficiency in at least one professional EDA tool for both schematic capture and layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Siemens Xpedition, KiCad in a professional context); * Ability to perform circuit-level schematic design: sizing DC/DC regulators and converters, analog and digital interfaces, filtering and decoupling networks, protections (ESD, transients, reverse polarity), and critical reading of datasheets and application notes; * Experience with routing common buses and interfaces in UAV systems: CAN, UART, SPI, I²C, USB, Ethernet; * Practical experience in EMI/EMC-oriented layout, especially coexistence of switching converters with sensitive sensors (magnetometers, IMUs, GNSS receivers); * Passion for lab work: bring-up, oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer measurements, and root-cause investigation; * Willingness to work on-site in Alverca do Ribatejo. ##### **Benefits and Career Opportunities** * Monthly gross salary range: €1,500–€1,600; * Meal allowance of €10.20 per day (paid via card); * Family health insurance (Fidelidade); * Integration into a multidisciplinary and innovative team; * Stable employment contract (permanent contract); * Opportunities for professional development and growth within a relaxed, continuously learning environment. ##### **We Value Diversity** We promote equal opportunity and diversity, encouraging all qualified individuals to apply.
