Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen tools and equipment and machinery room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, or machinery. Transport equipment (e.g., tools, radios). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all main service disconnect switches for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and request parts and supplies as needed. Prepare and paint surfaces; perform minor drywall and woodwork repairs; replace light bulbs and air conditioner filters; and thoroughly clean painting or repair areas. Test, diagnose malfunctions, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclogging toilets and drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switch and outlet replacements, and other guestroom items. Program televisions and perform general engineering-related maintenance and inventory tasks. Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before performing maintenance work. Repair indoor and outdoor gardens, as well as outdoor garden irrigation systems. Demonstrate basic computer operation skills, including entering air handling system schedules and adjusting temperatures. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and store flammable materials appropriately. Ensure both uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain property information confidentiality; and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate guest service needs and fulfill them; assist guests with disabilities; and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; and listen to and respond appropriately to other employees’ concerns. Communicate with others using clear and professional language. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 pounds (4.5 kg) or less without assistance, as well as lift heavier weights or perform movement-related tasks unassisted. Climb stairs, service ramps, or ladders. Reach above shoulder height and below knee level, including bending, twisting the waist, pulling, and stooping.
