EDP Produção, a company within the EDP Group, aims to strengthen its **Hydro Operation Management and Optimization Directorate**, whose mission is to plan and manage operational, maintenance, and optimization activities for the hydroelectric generation system, maximizing value creation while strictly complying with legal obligations, operational rules, and corporate sustainability principles, ensuring the safety of populations and facilities. To support us in this role, we seek to recruit for the Hydro Equipment team. **What you will do:** * Perform routine electrical protection tests and troubleshoot faults in equipment at hydroelectric production centers. * Support service contracts, including installation and commissioning of new electrical protection systems. * Ensure proper operation of electrical protection systems by troubleshooting faults or conducting tests. * Collaborate with more experienced professionals to detect, analyze, and resolve faults in electrical systems, which may involve repairing equipment in the laboratory. * Collaborate with project managers in drafting technical specifications and evaluating proposals. * Participate in studies regarding modifications to settings/programming of electrical protection systems. * Interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical instructions. * Carry out preventive maintenance on electronic equipment and perform specialized diagnostic tests on electrical protection systems. * Prepare work plans and draft intervention reports. * Perform assembly or installation of equipment for diagnostics and electronic instrumentation testing. **Contract Type:** Permanent Contract **Work Model:** On-site ***Work Location:*** Porto **What we are looking for:** * Secondary education (12th grade) in the Technological and Professional Course for Electrical Installation Technicians, Electrotechnics, Automation, or related fields (Technological Specialization Level 5 in Mechatronics or equivalent is preferred). * 5–10 years of professional experience in the electrical sector, with advanced knowledge of power electronics and digital systems. * Fluency in English is essential (speaking, reading, and writing). * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with SAP are preferred. * Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to various hydroelectric production centers across the country (mandatory); * Collaboration and networking skills, ability to handle pressure, agility and responsiveness, curiosity and self-development, strong interpersonal skills, and team spirit—these are competencies we highly value.
