Japanese Set

Description

A Japanese set featuring a magnificent dragon design, comprising six small sake cups and a bottle decorated with a cat and a bird. Handmade and hand-painted in Japan in the 1940s. The cat-patterned model is rare. Called a 'whistling bird' sake bottle; if you blow into the pipe-shaped spouts of the cups, they emit a whistle. Marked 'Made in Japan' on the bottom. In very good condition, with an extremely minor flaw on the upper part of the bottle. Bottle height: 14 cm. Value: 70€
