We are seeking a passionate, analytically driven Senior Strategic Sourcer or Industry Expert to enhance our procurement processes in the category of Packaging and Pallets with in depth experience in Data Analytics. This role is perfect for seasoned professionals who have an in\-depth understanding of the packaging industry from a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and supply chain perspective. This global role will involve strategic oversight across major markets including the US, Germany, France, and Italy, and will require regular visits to suppliers and distribution centers to ensure the effectiveness of our packaging solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead the development and execution of comprehensive sourcing strategies for packaging and pallets, focusing on enhancing specifications and integrating sustainable solutions. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams understanding their packaging needs, ensuring alignment with broader business and environmental objectives and drive project implementation * Compile, cleanse, structure and transform large datasets to support sourcing decisions * Build and conduct sourcing events (RFx) including e\-actions. * Analyze market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitive pricing, quality, durability and sustainability. * Identify and implement cost\-saving initiatives and process improvements * Engage with new and existing suppliers globally to negotiate contracts that align with our sustainability and cost\-effectiveness goals. * Conduct regular visits to suppliers and distribution centers to assess the application and performance of packaging materials and pallets. * Manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with our sustainability standards and goals for continuous improvement. **Requirements:** * Experience in the packaging industry, either in a sourcing role or an industry\-specific position, with a strong understanding of the manufacturing industry and cost models. * 3\-6\+ years of experince in: + strategic sourcing or category management experience + Expertise in evaluating and improving packaging specifications and implementing sustainable packaging solutions. + Experience with RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, and contract management. * Proven negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms that align with both cost and sustainability objectives. * Experience in building, managing and translating complex data sets into relevant actionable information. * Contribute to continous improvement of data processes and reporting standards. * Comfortable working in a global setup, with a deep understanding of various international markets, particularly in Europe and the US. * Willingness to travel to suppliers and distribution centers as needed to ensure product quality and supply chain efficiency. **Join a truly global team.** We offer a dynamic and international environment where high performance meets real purpose.
