**Assembling Operator**
Location – Leça do Balio/Porto
Position \- Temporary
**Job Purpose:**
As an Assembling Operator at Abbott, you will follow established procedures and guidelines to manufacture company products, adhering to standards for safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Comply with all company health and safety protocols and policies
* Immediately report safety risks/incidents to the Lead Operator / Team Leader / Shift Manager
* Clean tools and equipment according to documented procedures
* Maintain a clean and organized workplace (6S)
* Promote and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
* Perform work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI). Ability to read and understand basic instructions and other job-related documents written in English
* Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
* Record information in approved documents/systems as required
* Monitor production quality to identify, reject, or rework defective products
* Comply with site and cleanroom dress code requirements
* Restock and maintain changing rooms and auxiliary areas
* Maintain accurate daily production records to enable production performance analysis
* Assemble, repair, inspect, and/or test products per Work Instructions (WI)
* Perform tasks assigned by the Lead Operator / Team Leader / Shift Manager
* Operate production machinery and equipment safely and in accordance with SOP/WI
* Manage materials to ensure achievement of daily targets
* Collaborate closely with members of cross-functional teams to achieve production goals
* Support training activities within the process area
* Comply with all company policies
* Escalate identified issues to the Team Leader
**REQUIREMENTS**
* Minimum education: 12th grade or equivalent technical qualification.
* English language proficiency (spoken and written).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
* Familiarity with manual and electric hand tools (e.g., wrenches, drills, screwdrivers).
* Physical capability to handle loads up to 20–25 kg.
**Preferred Requirements**
* Experience using SAP and Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
* Ability to read and interpret technical schematics.
* Knowledge of component calibration and testing, ensuring compliance with tolerances and specifications.
* Experience in welding, cutting, or fitting processes.
