We’re taking on the world’s biggest tech companies in a battle for the multi\-billion\-dollar business communication and productivity industry. **About the Role:** The **IT System Administrator** builds upon the foundational skills of the Level 1 role by taking on a broader scope of responsibilities, leading technical initiatives, and demonstrating a higher degree of autonomy and technical depth. This role is accountable for maintaining and improving the health, security, and scalability of Intermedia’s enterprise systems and virtualized infrastructure, while actively contributing to cross\-functional project teams and process optimization efforts. As a natural progression from Level 1, the IT System Administrator exhibits advanced troubleshooting skills, mentors junior team members, contributes to the design and automation of system solutions, and drives operational improvements across IT platforms. This is an ideal role for a proactive and experienced IT professional who has demonstrated success in supporting enterprise environmentsand is ready to lead implementations, enhance automation, and champion best practices. In this role, the IT System Administrator will serve as a technical leader in daily operations and project delivery, while driving process efficiency and system reliability.### **What you will be doing:** * **Advanced Infrastructure Management** + Independently manage the day\-to\-day operations, configuration, and performance tuning of core enterprise services including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or Hyper\-V). * **Tier 2/3 Escalation and Resolution** + Act as an advanced escalation point for complex technical issues, providing root cause analysis and solutions for infrastructure, authentication, and platform\-level incidents. * **Automation and Scripting** + Create and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate administrative tasks, monitor services, and enhance operational efficiency. * **Project Ownership and Leadership** + Lead infrastructure\-related tasks within larger IT projects, independently manage assigned initiatives, and contribute to the design and planning of new systems and upgrades. * **Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer** + Provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to junior administrators and support staff. Help establish knowledge sharing frameworks and documentation standards. * **System Monitoring and Capacity Planning** + Implement and optimize monitoring solutions to ensure proactive identification of system issues, performance bottlenecks, and capacity constraints. * **Security and Compliance** + Ensure infrastructure systems comply with security best practices, participate in vulnerability remediation, and support audit and compliance initiatives. * **Process Improvement and Documentation** + Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, procedures, and service delivery. Ensure accurate documentation is maintained for infrastructure components and SOPs. * **Cross\-Team Collaboration** + Work closely with network, security, and application teams to deliver stable and secure environments.
