Connexall® is a sophisticated and customizable end\-to\-end integration and communication platform that helps its customers improve clinical workflow, reduce alarm fatigue, and drive better patient and staff outcomes. **Job Title: Android Developer** Type: Full\-Time Start Date: Immediate Location: Azores, Portugal **Job Summary** Reporting to the Team Lead of Web \& Mobile, the Android Developer will help design, document, and code mobile software for the mobile platform within the Connexall® product suite while adhering to our IEC 62304 SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), ISO\-13485 QMS, and ISO 14971 risk management frameworks. The successful candidate will work cross\-functionally, taking part in all aspects of the mobile Software Development Life Cycle and ensuring adherence to our risk management frameworks. **Primary Responsibilities** * Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle, working to help Connexall meet its corporate goals and objectives. * Design, document, develop and test mobile applications. * Perform analysis and testing of the new product as well as platform requirements and changes. * Ensure that new features developed integrate properly into existing system. * Produce quality code with a focus on stability, scalability, security, and maintainability. * Create and maintain development documentation, adhering to our ISO\-13485 quality management system. * Work closely with QA (Quality Assurance), to track bug reports, debug code, develop test plans and close issues. * Work with our Technical Support and Implementation departments to help troubleshoot and resolve client issues as needed. * Identify and provide recommendations on solutions for gaps in business processes and systems. * Other duties as required. **Qualifications** * Fluency in written and spoken English. * Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience in Software Development, iOS/Android Development, Web Development, or a similar discipline * Experience designing and developing native software products for the mobile platform. * Experience with Android Studio and Kotlin (or Java) language. * Preferably 2\+ years of mobile or similar development experience * Strong knowledge of design best practices. * Experience with using Room library as an object persistence solution. * Experience building applications that consume RESTful APIs. * Experience with concurrency considered a plus. * Experience with SQL relational databases and syntax considered a plus. * Experience building applications that consume RESTful and Web APIs considered a plus. * Experience using formal source control management processes and tools (e.g., GIT). * Experience working with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971\) considered an asset. * Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast\-paced environment. * Effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills. * Self\-motivated, curious, creative, and passionate about technology. * Ability to work effectively individually or within small teams in a very dynamic environment. * Ability to interact with internal and external clients for data gathering and design initiation. * Ability to work collaboratively with limited supervision **Benefits** * Competitive annual salary. * A rich benefits package, including medical and dental * Professional Development \& Training Opportunities * Education Reimbursement Program * Flexible Work Arrangements (Hybrid) * Collaborative \& Inclusive Work Environment Job Type: Full\-time Education: * Bachelor's (Required) Experience: * Mobile Android Development: 2 years (Required) * Java or Kotlin Language: 2 years (Required) * building applications that consume RESTful APIs: 2 years (Required) * Jetpack Compose: 2 years (Preferred) * SQL: 2 years (Preferred) * GIT: 2 years (Preferred) Language: * English (Required)
