Job Summary: We are seeking a winery operator for harvest-season work, with responsibilities covering the entire winemaking process and cleaning operations; experience and capacity for learning are highly valued. Training prior to commencement of work We are seeking a winery operator for harvest-season work (late August and September). Experience in this field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided prior to commencement of work. Responsibilities: - Monitoring the entire winemaking process (transformation of grapes into wine), including grape reception, preparation and application of enological products, pump-overs, temperature control of fermenting must, devatting, grape pressing, batch blending, etc. - Cleaning of tanks and equipment that come into contact with grapes/must/wine. - Other tasks such as grape sampling, must sampling and analysis, etc. Profile: Experience or education in this field is preferred. A valid driver’s license is preferred. Capacity for learning, teamwork, and sense of responsibility. Flexibility in working hours. Compensation: Minimum wage + proportional holiday and Christmas bonuses + overtime pay
