Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake, Backend Focus)

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a strong backend focus, in-depth knowledge of Snowflake, dbt, and data modeling, to contribute analytical expertise and collaboration. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and self-management skills What We Are Looking For? * Minimum 4 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or similar role, with strong emphasis on backend; * In-depth knowledge of Snowflake for data storage, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning; * Extensive hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation, testing, and pipeline orchestration; * Solid understanding of data modeling principles (e.g., dimensional modeling, data vault), with practical implementation experience; * Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and writing complex queries; * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies; * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and self-management skills, with attention to detail; * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as fluency in English; * Desirable: experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik), Power BI backend, data governance frameworks, and mentoring experience; * Eligibility to work in Portugal (Portuguese citizen or valid work authorization).
