This will significantly increase your chances of success #### **About the Opportunity** You will join an Application Production Support team responsible for maintaining the stability, availability, and performance of critical banking applications. The position involves handling incidents and service requests, automating infrastructure and deployment processes, supporting cloud and container environments, and contributing to disaster recovery and live\-play exercises. You will also help modernize legacy applications through containerization and share your expertise in Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes with other operations professionals. #### **Main Responsibilities** * Provide L1 and L2 application production support for critical banking applications. * Manage incidents, service requests, operational issues, and technical escalations. * Participate in shift schedules and on\-call rotations. * Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, database, and cloud\-related issues. * Build and maintain Ansible playbooks. * Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for infrastructure provisioning. * Automate configuration, deployment, and operational processes. * Support the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure environments. * Deploy and maintain applications across cloud and container platforms. * Contribute to the containerization and modernization of legacy applications. * Support Kubernetes and Docker environments. * Participate in disaster recovery and live\-play exercises. * Contribute to service\-improvement and operational\-efficiency initiatives. * Monitor application health and performance using Dynatrace or similar tools. * Assist and train other operations professionals in Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes. * Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, development, DevOps, database, and security teams. * Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks. #### **Mandatory Requirements** * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. * At least 5 years of professional experience in IT Operations, Application Support, DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Software Engineering. * Experience providing L1 or L2 application support in a banking environment. * Strong understanding of core banking operations. * At least 2 years of hands\-on experience with a public cloud provider such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. * At least 2 years of hands\-on experience with Ansible and Docker. * Strong knowledge of Linux platforms and command\-line tools. * Strong troubleshooting and production\-incident resolution skills. * Proficiency in Python, Bash, or another scripting language. * Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform. * Experience with Kubernetes in production environments. * Experience with Docker and application containerization. * Knowledge of PL/SQL for investigation and production support. * Experience with Dynatrace or a similar application\-performance monitoring tool. * Good understanding of continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or Concourse. * Experience with infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and disaster recovery. * Expert\-level English communication skills. * Availability to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon. * Availability to participate in shifts and on\-call rotations. #### **Required or Highly Valued Certifications** * Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible — RH294\. * Certified Kubernetes Application Developer — CKAD. * Developing Advanced Automation with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform — DO374\. #### **Nice\-to\-Have Requirements** * HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (003\). * HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate (002\). * Experience with HashiCorp Vault and secrets management. * Experience containerizing legacy applications. * Knowledge of application resilience, high availability, and capacity management. * Experience with service\-improvement and operational\-automation initiatives. * Knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. * Experience working in international or highly regulated environments. * Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and testing. #### **The Ideal Candidate** The ideal candidate is a senior application\-support or cloud\-operations professional with strong production experience in banking environments. You are confident troubleshooting complex issues across Linux, PL/SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Dynatrace, cloud platforms, and automated infrastructure. You have practical experience developing Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts, containerizing legacy applications, supporting disaster recovery exercises, and improving operational processes. You are proactive, persistent, and calm under pressure.
