**Job Title** Senior Software Development Engineer \- CUSS**Job Description Summary** Seamless Travel Solutions (STS) Engineering is a distinctive global division within Amadeus, responsible for both Software and Hardware engineering. This team covers the entire product lifecycle, from innovation and design to development and operations. STS Engineering delivers cutting\-edge technology solutions to multiple sectors, including airlines, airports, and border control. Their offerings range from biometrics, computer vision, and 3D scanning to mobile solutions and virtual wallets. The Senior Software Development Engineer \- CUSS is a key contributor in the software development cycle of all products related to CUSS platform and applications. They have a strong understanding of the CUSS environment and can provide guidance and direction to other developers while contributing to a culture of innovation. They work independently, based on management directions, possibly with some support in the most complex situations. They can also influence decisions related to their activity, contribute to transversal projects, propose improvements to processes and are accountable for own and team commitments. **Function and technical expertise:** * Focus on CUSS platform development and frontend web applications running on CUSS Self Service Check\-in kiosk and proprietary kiosk tools and framework. * Participate in each step of the product development cycle including creating technical requirements, leading complex feasibility studies, project planning, identifying dependencies and improvements. * Apply best practices on code quality and security\-safe code through non\-functional requirements mastery. * Work on complex problems or changes where analysis of data requires in\-depth evaluation. Investigate, analyze and give recommendations on the root causes of complex software and system defects. **Provide support and expertise to Product and Support teams in functional, technical recommendation for new solution including:** * Apply best practices on code quality and security\-safe code through non\-functional requirements mastery. * Work on complex problems or changes where analysis of data requires in\-depth evaluation. Investigate, analyze and give recommendations on the root causes of complex software and system defects. * Improve project delivery and provide recommendations for process improvement. \* Develop software according to internal quality standards, and conduct unit, package and performance tests of software. * Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine\-tuning necessary to finalize software products. * Ensure production integrity by validating and prioritizing reported problems. * Troubleshoot and investigate defects raised by our customers to ensure compliance of our products to the specifications and system integrity. **Develop, Maintain and share solution analysis and expertise with the wider division:** * Foster innovation and operational performance in the deployment of new functionalities, services and technologies. * Improve project delivery and provide recommendations for process improvement. \* Develop software according to internal quality standards, and conduct unit, package and performance tests of software. * Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine\-tuning necessary to finalize software products. * Define technical requirements for development of new or improvement of existing software solutions and lead strategic discussions/orientations. **Candidate Requirements:** **Education:** * University degree or equivalent field experience (preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science). **Skills:** * Full stack development experience is a must. * Professional English required. * Excellent communication and presentation skills. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities to nontrivial problems. * Open\-minded, should be able to adapt to working in a multi\-cultural team atmosphere. * Flexible to adapt to changing project needs driven by the customers. * Ability to think out of the box, develop tools to enhance productivity. **Technologies:** Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: * Front\-end and Back\-end development skills with proficient knowledge of but not limited to: .Net C\#, Angular, ReactJS, RxJs, TypeScript, XML, HTML, CSS, Python (good to have). * Expertise in the IATA Common Use Self\-Service (CUSS) Specifications and kiosk solutions to control and monitor hardware devices on physical Self Check\-in Kiosk or Bag Drop platforms are a plus. * Travel industry IT experience is a plus **What we can offer you:** * A truly global DNA \- Everything at Amadeus is global, from our people to our business, which translates into our footprint, processes, and culture. * Great opportunities to learn \- Learning happens all the time and in many ways at Amadeus, through on\-the\-job training, formal learning activities, and day\-to\-day interactions with colleagues. * A caring environment \- Amadeus fosters a caring environment, nurturing both a fulfilling career and personal and family life.
