About the Role We are seeking a Cloud Architect with a minimum of 5 years of experience to design and guide complex cloud architectures. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, along with proven ability to mentor teams and ensure adherence to technical standards. In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure, cloud security, IAM, FinOps, and IaC is highly valued. This is a remote position, but requires residence in Portugal and availability for travel. Mandatory Requirements: * Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience. * Leadership/Mentoring: Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical standards and best practices. * Communication: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Spanish (C1 level). * Cloud Architecture (Preferred): In-depth technical expertise in AWS and Microsoft Azure architecture and services. * Security and Governance (Preferred): Practical experience with cloud security, governance, and identity/access management (IAM). * Infrastructure/Migration (Preferred): Proven experience with VMware platforms and leading cloud migration projects. * FinOps (Preferred): Solid understanding and hands-on experience with FinOps principles. * Automation (Preferred): Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and DevOps tools. * Consulting (Preferred): Strong communication and consulting skills in client-facing engagements. * Processes (Preferred): Experience working in ITIL-based service delivery environments. * Managed Security (Preferred): Familiarity with managed security services and tools (e.g., Prisma Cloud, Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub). * Documentation (Preferred): Strong documentation and knowledge management habits to support scalable service delivery. * Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or equivalent, FinOps Certified Practitioner. * Location: Remote work (must be based in Portugal and available for travel).
