Monitor and optimize database performance through tuning and troubleshooting We are looking for a DBA to join the team of our client \- a reference company in banking and financial sector. What will be your main tasks and responsibilities? * Install, configure and maintain on\-premises database systems (e.g., SQL Server and PostgreSQL); * Ensure data backup and recovery policies are in place; * Monitor and optimise database performance (tuning and troubleshooting). * Security and Compliance: * Ensure data protection and integrity by implementing best security practices; * Work to ensure compliance with financial sector regulations (e.g., GDPR and ISO 27001\); * Ensure the application of security patches and other updates that contribute to the security and performance of DBMSs. * Development and Support: * Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams to model and structure databases; * Support internal teams with complex SQL queries and troubleshooting issues related to database engine performance; * Monitor database growth and forecast growth requirements; * Help define strategies and implement measures to combat obsolescence through technological modernisation. * Documentation: * Create and maintain technical documentation relating to configurations, policies and processes. What is required from you? * At least 3 years' proven experience as a DBA; * Advanced knowledge of on\-premises SQL Server DBMS management; * Proficiency in SQL scripting and automation tools; * Knowledge of high\-availability and resilience strategies (replication, clustering, Always On); * Experience with Postgres; * Experience in managing performance incidents and database fine\-tuning; * Background in Network and Systems Administration (Windows and Linux OS); * Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing; * Experience with virtualisation technologies; * Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards.
