Ray.BBDM is currently supporting Ascendum in recruiting a Consolidation Manager. We are seeking a senior professional with strong technical, functional, analytical, and project management skills, whose mission will be to ensure the coordination, development, and continuous improvement of Ascendum Group’s consolidation process. Ascendum is a leading Portuguese multinational group present in over 15 countries, dedicated to the distribution and provision of services in the equipment sector, with a strategy focused on sustainable growth, innovation, efficiency, and the development of its people. Reporting to the Corporate Finance Director and integrated into the Consolidation Department, this professional will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end implementation and enhancement of the Group’s consolidation process, as well as ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and execution of related specific projects. **Key Responsibilities:** * Coordinate, develop, and monitor the Group’s consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines; * Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulations (US GAAP and local GAAP); * Collaborate with corporate and local teams in reviewing and harmonizing accounting policies; * Lead the implementation and enhancement of the consolidation system, replacing the current legacy system, in close coordination with Controlling and IT departments; * Coordinate external audits (local and consolidated) and support internal audits; * Support reporting, planning, and forecasting initiatives, ensuring data quality and consistency; * Contribute to ESG and corporate sustainability initiatives. **What we are looking for:** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, or Economics; * Relevant experience in consolidation, auditing, or financial accounting, preferably within a multinational environment or consultancy; * Solid knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP; * Proficiency in Excel and financial tools; experience with SAP, Power BI, or Tableau is an advantage; * Fluency in English (spoken and written); * Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and passion for process improvement; * Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in multicultural environments. **Offer:** * Join a solid, internationally established, and continuously growing group; * A role with tangible impact and corporate visibility, within a context of transformation and process improvement; * A collaborative environment that values autonomy, initiative, and active participation.
