Influence product direction and evolve the design system Shield is looking for a highly capable and driven **Product Designer.** ****As a **Product Designer (UX/UI)**, you’ll play a key role in shaping user experiences for our cutting\-edge, data\-driven application. Working within a collaborative, agile team, you’ll design intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling interfaces that align with both user needs and business objectives. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders, taking ownership of design problems from discovery through to delivery. Beyond crafting interfaces, you’ll help bridge the gap between design and development, leveraging modern tools like **Figma, Claude, and Cursor** to rapidly prototype, validate ideas, and translate designs into production\-ready solutions. This role is ideal for a **mid\-to\-senior level designer** who is comfortable navigating complexity, enjoys working on data\-heavy applications, and is excited about using AI\-powered tools to accelerate design and delivery. You’ll have the opportunity to influence product direction, evolve our design system, and contribute to a fast\-moving, high\-impact environment. **Responsibilities** * Design wireframes, prototypes, and high\-fidelity visuals for complex, data\-heavy applications; * Own design problems end\-to\-end, from discovery and research to final implementation; * Use tools like **Figma, Claude, and Cursor** to prototype faster and create stronger connections between design and code; * Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Developers to ensure smooth handoff and implementation; * Contribute to and evolve our **Design System**, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency; * Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather insights to inform design decisions; * Translate business and technical requirements into intuitive user experiences; * Identify and mitigate design\-related risks, including usability issues and technical constraints; * Stay up to date with emerging tools, especially AI\-driven workflows, to continuously improve design processes; * Advocate for user\-centered design while balancing speed, quality, and delivery needs. **Competencies** * **User\-Centered Design:** Strong ability to balance user needs with business and technical constraints; * **Product Thinking:** Understands how design decisions impact product outcomes and user value; * **Craft \& Attention to Detail:** High\-quality visual and interaction design skills; * **Collaboration:** Comfortable working closely with engineers and integrating design into development workflows; * **Technical Fluency:** Ability to understand and design with implementation in mind; * **Adaptability:** Thrives in fast\-paced environments and embraces new tools and ways of working; * **Problem Solving:** Structured thinking when tackling complex, data\-rich interfaces; * **Curiosity \& Learning Mindset:** Especially towards AI tools and evolving design practices. Requirements: **Requirements** * **4\+ years of experience** in product/UX/UI design (preferably in B2B SaaS); * Strong portfolio showcasing end\-to\-end design work and problem\-solving; * Advanced proficiency in **Figma** and modern design workflows; * Experience working closely with developers and understanding of front\-end constraints; * Familiarity with **AI\-assisted design and prototyping tools** (e.g. Claude, Cursor, or similar); * Solid understanding of design systems and scalable design practices; * Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions; * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. **Nice to have** * Experience designing **data\-heavy or enterprise applications;** * Exposure to **design\-to\-code workflows** or component\-based development; * Basic understanding of front\-end technologies (HTML/CSS/React or similar); * Experience contributing to or building design systems. **Why Join Shield** At Shield, you will lead high\-impact programs for some of the world’s largest financial institutions.
