**Job Description:**Performance of duties corresponding to the Senior Technician career/category, with functional complexity level 3, as described in the Annex referred to in Article 88\.º, No. 2 of the General Framework for Public Employment (LGTFP):
a) Advisory, research, planning, programming, evaluation, and application of technical and/or scientific methods and processes that underpin and prepare decision-making;
b) Independent or team-based preparation of opinions and projects of varying complexity, and execution of other general or specialized support activities within common, instrumental, and operational areas of competence of organs and services;
c) Duties performed with technical responsibility and autonomy, even if under qualified higher-level supervision;
d) Representation of the organ or service on matters within one's area of expertise, making technical decisions aligned with directives or higher-level guidance.
Specifically, in the context of performing duties as a School Psychologist, aiming to promote students' cognitive, emotional, social, and vocational development, the duties include: (i) psychological and psychopedagogical support to students and teachers; (ii) support for developing relationships and dynamics within the educational community; (iii) academic and vocational guidance.
The school psychologist contributes to creating safe, inclusive, and well-being-promoting educational environments, participating in implementing measures supporting learning and inclusion, as stipulated by applicable legislation, through interventions across various domains, notably the following:
* Psychological assessment (cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and vocational);
* Diagnosis and follow-up of students with specific educational needs;
* Individual and/or group psychopedagogical intervention;
* Implementation of programs promoting socioemotional well-being;
* Development of risk behavior prevention initiatives;
* Academic and vocational guidance, particularly in the 9\.º and 12\.º years;
* Support for transitions between educational cycles;
* Participation in Class Councils and technical meetings;
* Individual counseling for students and/or families;
* Collaboration with teachers in adapting pedagogical strategies;
* Integration into Multidisciplinary Teams Supporting Inclusive Education;
* Preparation of psychological reports and technical opinions;
* Coordination with external services (healthcare, Child and Youth Protection Commissions [CPCJ], other entities).
