





About the Job Process Engineer LUZA Group is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to be responsible for analyzing, designing, and recommending improvements to manufacturing lines (industrial and logistics process flows) within an innovation project in the automotive sector, using the industrial simulation software FlexSim (discrete event simulation). The selected candidate will be able to evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to industrial and logistics operations. Key Responsibilities and Duties Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes; Evaluate existing processes, conduct measurements, and interpret data; Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and product quality; Analyze production systems, logistical flows, and identify production bottlenecks and blockages; Collect time and production process data to support simulation; Perform process planning and simulations; Manage cost and time constraints; Conduct risk assessments; Provide process documentation, decision-support materials, and implementation instructions. Mandatory Requirements Proven work experience in process engineering Essential experience with discrete event simulation software (at least 2 years), e.g., FlexSim Experience with FlexSim software is particularly valued Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering—qualification level (QNQ) 6 or above Preferred Requirements Knowledge of standards related to automotive product manufacturing processes Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and WCM Master’s degree in Industrial and Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Process Engineering (or equivalent) **Preferred work model:** On-site. Hybrid or remote models are possible, with periodic travel to LUZA Group (Oliveira de Azeméis) and industrial units in Portugal (Center/North)
